Introducing the 2023 JournalismAI Academy EMEA and APAC cohorts

The 2023 JournalismAI Academy for Small Newsrooms is about to kick-off!
We are thrilled to launch the third edition of this programme aimed at tackling the inequalities and equipping small newsrooms with AI literacy.

Thanks to the support of the Google News Initiative, this year’s programme will welcome participants from Europe, Middle East and Africa and from the Asia-Pacific region.

We received over 300+ applications from journalists, editors and media professionals from across the world, making the selection process a challenging task.

Finally, we are proud to present the talented professionals who have been chosen to participate in the JournalismAI Academy. They come from 29 different countries and represent a wide range of media outlets, including investigative newsrooms, fact-checking organisations, local media, and publications focusing on science and environmental coverage.
